Branko Greganović is a freelance corporate finance adviser and management consultant with more than 35 years of experience across banking, M&A, and public finance in the former Yugoslavia. He holds an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Maribor (Slovenia) and two master’s degrees: economics from the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) and management from London Business School (United Kingdom).
Branko began his career in Slovenia’s public sector at the Bank of Slovenia, Slovenian central bank, and later at the Ministry of Finance, where he led the office responsible for public debt and guarantees management. In the late 1990s, he moved into the private sector, holding leadership roles at Société Générale Banka, the corporate finance and M&A boutique Publikum, and Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank in Austria, with a focus on non-performing loan restructurings. During that period, Branko also led a transformation program at the leading regional FMCG group Droga Kolinska.
In 2014, Branko became CEO/CFO/CIO of NLB Bank Belgrade, leading a transformation that paved the way for the NLB Group’s acquisition of Komercijalna Banka Beograd in 2021. He then served as CEO/CFO/CDO of NLB Banka Skopje from 2022 to 2024, before moving to freelance consulting.
