Short professional biography:

Fabrizio Di Meo is currently a Permanent Assistant Professor of Financial Accounting at Universidad de Alcalá (Spain). Before joining the Universidad de Alcalá, he was a Visiting Professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and a research fellow at Università Roma Tre. He holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the Università Roma Tre, an MA Management from the University of Nottingham, and a Master degree and a Ph.D., both in Business Administration and Quantitative Methods from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. His research mainly focuses on financial reporting, earnings management, corporate governance, and public policies. His work has been published on academic outlets such as Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, International Journal of Auditing, and Spanish Journal of Finance and Accounting. He also partially focuses his research in teaching innovation, leading to a publication on the Australasian Journal of Educational Technology. His teaching experience covers Financial Accounting, Analysis of Financial Statements, Consolidated Financial Statements, and Accounting for Top Management, all in English, Spanish, and/or Italian languages. He also worked as a consultant for KPMG Rome Advisory Company – Public Sector.
